His peculiar, brilliant and clear vocal timbre granted his admittance to the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, where he achieved his diploma in Lyrical music, following which he was selected for a specialization course at the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan with Carlo Gaifa. In 2011 he achieved a degree in opera singing at the Conservatory "G. Puccini" in La Spezia.
He studied diction and acting with Enzina Conte and he attended Masterclass of Opera repertoire with Mietta Sighele, Veriano Lucchetti, Janos Acs, Enzo Dara, Renato Bruson and Bruno De Simone. He is currently studying at “Accademia del Bel Canto” with Mirella Freni, to perfect his technique.
He attended the prestigious Lyric Academy of the Rotary International with Montanari. He worked with world famous maestros/accompanists and concert artists like Gabriele Baldocci, Bruno Canino, Roberto Prosseda, Daniel Rivera, Roberto Negri and Marcello Guerrini.
In 2006 he won the “Pagliacci” Special Award at the “Riccardo Zandonai” International Competition in Riva del Garda, debuting the role of Beppe in the same opera. Then he won the role of Bardolfo in Falstaff at the 2006 “Rocca delle Macie” Competition.
In 2007 he won the “Primo Palcoscenico 2007” obtaining the role of Duca di Mantova in “Rigoletto”, Rodolfo in “La Bohème”, Nemorino in “Elisir d’amore”, Alfredo in “La Traviata”.
He had parts as character roles in performances like G. Verdi’s “Trovatore”, “La Traviata”, “Nabucco”, “Rigoletto”; R. Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci” di; Bizet’s “Carmen” di G. Bizet; G.Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut”and “Tosca”; and G. Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor”.
He worked with great directors like Pierluigi Pizzi, Antonello Madau Diaz, Renato Bruson, Renzo Giacchieri, Walter Pagliaro, Nall; and conductors like Bruno Bartoletti, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Miguel Gomez-Martinez, Daniele Callegari, Michele Mariotti, Gustav Khun, Marco Boemi, Elio Boncompagni, Patrick Fourniller.
With respect to the repertoire of 18th century, he played the role of Franchetto in Cimarosa’s “I due Baroni of Roccazzurra”, the role of Rinaldo in B. Galuppi’s “Il Filosofo di Campagna” at Wolfsburg Theatre, at Lessing Theatre and at “Festival dell’Opera Buffa 2004” and the role of Beppe in G.Donizetti’s “Rita”.
As far as the contemporary repertoire is concerned, he was the main character of the A.Tarabella’s opera “Arlecchino finto morto” at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena during the first national representation. He took part in the production of G. Puccini’s “La Fanciulla del West” at the 51st Festival Puccini in Torre del Lago playing the role of Trin. He also played the role of Malcom in “Macbeth” at the Magnani Theatre of Fidenza; the role of Maestro di Ballo in “Manon Lescaut” for the Circuito Lirico Toscano; he was Gherardo in “Gianni Schicchi” at the Rassegna Lirica Torelliana 2006 in Fano, and he was Cassio in G. Verdi’s “Otello” at the Magnani Theatre in Fidenza.
He sang as soloist tenor in Rossini’s “Petite Messe Solennelle” with pianists Roberto Prosseda and Gabriele Baldocci. In January 2007 he played the role of Bardolfo in G. Verdi’s Falstaff with Renato Bruson at the Maruccino Theatre in Chieti, performing again in the same production in May 2007 at Verdi Theatre in Salerno.
For the lieder repertoire, he sang Schumann’s Dichterliebe op.48 with the pianist Bruno Canino, and famous Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and Brahms’ lieder. He recorded for Kicco Music, Isea Arts, Accademia Rotary International in Milan, AFI, Realsound and Naxos.
In April 2008 he played the role of Ernesto in G. Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale” in Abruzzo with the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese. In June he sang Britten’s “Death in Venice” at “La Fenice” Theatre in Venice, directed by Pierluigi Pizzi and conducted by Bruno Bartoletti. In July and August he sang at Mozart Festival in Arezzo and he was the main character in A.Tarabella’s opera “Arlecchino Finto Morto” during the summer tournée. In August he also sang “Gianni Schicchi” at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena with Gianluigi Gelmetti.
In October he played the role of Don Curzio in “Le Nozze di Figaro” at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, conducted by Giovanni Antonini under the direction of Giorgio Strehler and Marina Bianchi.
In July 2009 he sang in G. Puccini’s “La Fanciulla del West” with the orchestra and chorus of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Lucca; in August he participated in a vocal recital at International Festival “Le Sommets du Classique” in Crans Montana; in September he played the role of Malcom in G. Verdi’s “Macbeth” at the Teatro Verdi in Sassari.
In 2010 he sang in “Falstaff” with Renato Bruson at the “F. Cilea” Theatre in Reggio Calabria, he played the main Character in the A.Tarabella’s opera “Arlecchino Finto Morto”at the “L. Pavarotti” Theatre in Modena and he performed in "Rigoletto" at the "C. Goldoni" Theatre in Livorno, “La Fanciulla del West" at the PucciniFestival 2010, "Die Zauberflote" at the Ponchielli Theatre in Cremona and the Grande Theatre in Brescia.
In 2011 he performed the "Flauto Magico" at the following Theatres: "Fraschinii" in Cremona, "Sociale" in Como and the "Fanciulla del West" at the "Politeama" theatre in Lecce.
He also played the role of Gastone in "La Traviata" at the "Coccia" Theatre in Novara. He then sang the same role at the Opera House of Seoul with Mariella Devia. He performed the role of the Messenger in "Aida" at the San Siro stadium with Dimitra Theodossiu. Recently he worked on Bellini's opera "I Puritani", debuting in the role of Bruno Robertson at the theatres "Ponchielli" in Cremona, "Grande" in Brescia, "Sociale" in Como and "Fraschini" in Pavia. He also played Benvolio in the C. Gounod's "Romeo and Juliette" (at the theatres "Sociale" in Como and "Fraschini" in Pavia).
In 2012 He will singin the G.Bizet's "Carmen" (at the "Coccia" theatre in Novara), in the G.Verdi's "Falstaff" (with the Symphonic Orchestra of Palermo), in U. Giordano's "A.Chenier" (at the auditorium "Verdi" in Milan) and in the "Boheme" at the "Teatro alla Scala" in Milan.
